Ballots for the Nov. 7 election have arrived (or should soon) in Clark County mail boxes. If you don't receive yours in the next few days, call the Clark County Elections Office: 360-397-2345.

Already, voters have two reasons to celebrate: (1) Cross-over voting returns! Yippee! This is not a primary, and you don't have to confine your votes to one party. (2) All-mail voting is working well; 93 percent of the state's voters in the Sept. 19 primary did so by mail.

Other newsy tidbits about the Nov. 7 election:

* Monday is the last day to register to vote if you want to participate in the Nov. 7 election. You must do so in person at the county elections office. Clark County: 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver.

* To cast your ballot before election day, visit the county elections department 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or use the 24/7 dropbox at West 14th Street and Esther streets, east of the County Elections Department.

* On election day, you may drop off your ballot at one of the 33 other sites around Clark County....
