Baine Wilson now knows who she will face in the upcoming election for the position of Clark County Clerk in this November’s election. Sherry Parker easily won the Democrat Primary on September 19. This story from the Columbian, about the Democrat primary winner, makes little mention of Baine, other than to note that she currently oversees the office’s collections unit.

The article is clear that Sherry Parker has worked in the County Clerk’s office for seven years, and has received the support of the current County Clerk, JoAnn McBride. What the article doesn’t mention in its cursory comment about Baine Wilson is that Baine has worked in local government for several years, as well as in the County Clerk’s office where she has held supervisory roles.

I wonder how Baine must feel having a boss who supports a candidate with less experience simply because of political persuasion? Nice boss.

Be sure to vote for Baine Wilson, a candidate with the necessary experience to lead the County Clerk’s office, this November!

You hit the nail on the head that Baine has more experience in management skills and overseeing and understanding a government budget. She has managed the budget of the collections unit for two years now. I am an employee of the clerk’s office and know the qualifications of both candidates and, although Sherry is a smart and nice person, this race boils down to who is better qualified and I have to say it’s Baine. Baine Wilson has my vote for my next boss.
